This list of 15 Nigerian artistes to look out for
in 2015 is not intended to be exhaustive- these are simply 15 people
who we believe should have interesting outings in 2015. They’ve set the
foundation on which they can use as a springboard to a commercially and
critically successful 2015, and most of what they need to do is pray,
plan properly, put in hard work and hope for the very best…
Now, here goes (in no particular order):

Temi
Temi Dollface
isn’t a regular/conventional artiste- her music is as expressive in
different sounds as it is artful. She came up with the ingenuity that
was
Pata Pata and very recently,
Just Like That. Even
her feature on Ndani TV’s The Juice was
enough to prove, that she is truly, very different and can create a
niche none can copy. So in 2015, we’d love to see where she goes with
her career.

Listen to songs like
S.O.S,
Tempted, S
tinking Sh*t and you’ll understand why
Yung L is
definitely worth paying attention to. His style of rap is addictive and
hopefully, in 2015, we hope he gets the attention that he so deserves.
Check out his
Soundcloud for more great music.

It is almost impossible to list the most respected individuals in the
music industry, without including Cobhmas’s name. Not only has he
produced some of the best Nigerian songs in the past decade, he also has
an amazing voice. If you haven’t been won over by his production
skills, one question- have you listened to
Ordinary People and
Star of Wonder? We’d really appreciate a full body of work in 2015 and if we get it, we are so sure it’ll be an amazing treat.
Phyno
has recorded colossal success in the music industry and has played a
major role in the way ‘Igbo’ rappers and artistes are being received and
his protege,
Stormrex is worth watching out for, in 2015- possibly, the next big thing in the east. Her songs,
Blessing and
Nwa Nee, which features
Phyno, has got our attention and has managed to keep us interested in what she will offer 2015. Now, the ball is in her court see more after the cut....
